LOOKING AT L1_SINGLEMU SEEDS TO CHECK THE EFFECT OF CSCTF HIGH OCCUPANCY

DATASET • Primary dataset is: • SingleMu • Run been used for the presented plots: • 2E33 menu runs are taking between (04th August - 12th August): • 172630 to 173198 • 3E33 menu runs are taking between (12th August – 21th August): • 173236 to 173692 • Non certified JSON file: • json_DCSONLY.txt_160404-173692 CSCTF meeting

  3. L1_SingleMu14 Efficiency • Efficiency plots using T&P method: • Offline Mu_Pt > 24GeV |η| ≤ 2.4 1.2 ≤ |η| ≤ 2.4 • Very good agreement • Between 2E33 & 3E33. CSCTF meeting

  4. L1_SINGLEMU14 EFFICIENCY (FOR 3E33 BAD RUNS ONLY) • Only 3E33 bad runs: • 173236, 173241, 173243, 173244, 173657, 173664 • Very good agreement • Between 2E33 & 3E33. CSCTF meeting

CONCLUSION • We have not observe any high rate in L1_singleMu paths • We have a very good agreement in the efficiency results for the unprescaled L1_singleMu paths between 2E33 & 3E33 menu. • The change in CSCTF eta distribution shape it might be due to: • Increased L1 threshold • Change the prescale column for L1/HLT CSCTF meeting

  9. HOT: CSCTF OCCUPANCY PLOT • Online DQM shifter: Observed a high trigger rate at high |eta|>2.1 last Friday in all runs after “173240” CSCTF meeting

WHAT’S NEW IN FRIDAY’S RUNS • New deployment for HLT menu, we moved from 2E33 to 3E33 menu, where we • Increased L1 seed threshold • Changed the prescaled column • Some paths cover the entire eta region and some paths are |eta|<2.1 only. • Following the above it’s very complicated to try to conclude anything from pure inclusive occupancy plots, or csctf eta distribution which depend on a large mix of triggers.
