What to discuss? • Causes of observed findings OR • Results based on underlying characteristics or theory • If there are different contributory factors, describe their r/ship & assess their contributions to e research. • If certain parts of findings are not understood for various reasons, the discussion should acknowledge this.

  3. STRATEGIES • Explain the findings • Compare the findings • Infer the findings (Krishnan,2003)

  4. Explain Results • Give reasons for the findings • Explain the scenario during data collection which might influence the result of the research. • Explain the results based on the limitations of the research during data collection

  5. Compare the findings • Compare with the findings of other research within the same field (discussed in the lit review sect) • Compare the different findings of the research to highlight certain results as significant.

  6. Evaluate the findings • Provide an assessment of the findings. Since you know the scenario of the issue you can decide the data are as expected or otherwise (i.e unexpected, satisfactory or insignificant) • Examples on pg 184

  7. Infer from the findings • Develop your ideas based on the facts from the responses. • This is done to make sense of the findings. (ppl x u/stand e facts in its statistical form) • Be creative and do not be afraid to speculate • Example on pg 184

  8. Don’t forget to use the right language expressions!!
