Facts About Canopus • It is the second brightest star in the sky. • It’s name came from an ancient city in Northern Egypt. • It is sometimes used for a reference point of spacecraft navigation on missions. • You can’t see Canopus if your in northern Norfolk, VA. • It is located in the constellation Carina.
