Proposal • My Final project proposal is a virtual reality assistant. • The primary function of the assistant is to help the user with their daily life and assist them in any tasks or activities they need to do. • Informs and resolves doubts, beyond the conventional information panel, offering services in an attractive and friendly way. Improves your customer’s experience. • The layout will be similar to the dynamic of JARVIS and Tony Stark from the Marvel Universe.

Background • A Virtual Reality Assistant is a smart digital interface equipped with Artificial Intelligence that will learn your daily schedule and help to improve aspects of your life. • It will include everything from a • The Virtual Reality Assistant can provide a variety of information and send personalized messages. It will also show the user products that they’re looking for, and advise them on the benefits and how the product will impact their lives. • When dealing with any social media aspects it can be also configured to automatically comment on posts when specific keywords are triggered, add connections, create relevant posts for followers.

  4. Uses Of VA Assistant • Theoretically, a virtual assistant can do anything any other support staff can do. • However, virtual support duties are not limited to clerical work. Many VAs provide marketing, web design and other services. • Some virtual assistants specialize in a specific skill set. For example, a marketing or PR virtual assistant only does marketing or PR work. • Other virtual assistants do a variety of duties but within a specific industry. For example, a real estate virtual assistant does many tasks, but only for Realtor clients. 

  5. Physical Layout • You will be required to purchase a par of glasses and an earpiece so you can see and communicate with your assistant. • There will be a link provided where you can download an app onto your phone that will assist with the interface and better help your assistant learn your schedule and daily life. • I intend for the user to wear a special set of glasses which will project the VR assistant and several other useful items into their frame of view and the assistant will help the make choices or improve any activity or task at hand.

Glasses and Earpiece • The physical look with be very similar to Tony Stark’s layout in the Iron Man and Avengers movies. • There will be glasses which will show the user various holographic images and the earpiece will be used to communicate with the assistant. • One of the unique aspects of this program is that the VR assistant will constantly be learning, growing and adapting to its surroundings and the outside world which will better help it to serve its user. • I don’t plan of having the assistant be robotic as that would not make is stand out, it will learn how it’s user talks and in turn will mimic their speech patterns and vocabulary to better respond to any inquiry.

Previous Attempts • There have been other forms and attempts at personal assistants like Cortana and Siri but those iterations were not as detailed or in depth as my proposal. • There were various technical and social problems as these software’s were too robotic and were prone to making errors • There have been attempts to humanize these programs but as of right now no company has managed to successfully integrate a human perspective and mannerisms to technical components.

  8. Target Audience • The target audience for this device would be mainly business oriented people who need help organizing their lives and maintaining their schedules. • Business oriented people would benefit the most due to the fact that they will always have a use for this program as it’s sole purpose is to help the individual with their hectic schedule. • Teenagers and young adults can also benefit from this product as they can use it for their academic lives to help them with school work or any extra curricular activities they participate in.
