Day 1 - Friday 10.15am - Coach from school to Manchester Airport Lunch at airport or pack lunch Fly from Manchester to Basel Flight times are: depart: 14.50 / arrive: 17.35 Train from Basel Airport to Konstanz Bus from Konstanz main station to hotel. (bus 6, 13-4 ) Check in to hotel. Evening meal
Day 2 – Saturday 9.30 - Bus to Konstanz Harbour. (Max Strom / Rudolfdreselstr. Bus no 6) 10.08 - Take the boat to Unteruhldingen; 10.45 – Pfahlbauten – Viking village 13.35 – Meersburg – visit castle / lunch / visit town 16.20 - Return to Konstanz for shopping/sightseeing in Konstanz 19.00 - Evening Meal at hotel 20.00 - stroll in Konstanzer alt stadt
Day 3 - Sunday Bus to Konstanz Harbour 09.40 - Take boat to Friedrichshafen 11.30 - Visit Zeppelin Museum 13.00- Take train to Bregenz in Austria 14.00 - Walk through town up to the Pfaender Cable car 14.30 - Go up Pfaender mountain for superior views of the lake and mountains. 16.30 - Train back to Friedrichshafen 17.30 - Boat back to Konstanz 18.30 – Evening meal at hotel
Day 4 - Monday Bus to Konstanz main station – leave bags at hotel Look around Konstanz Return to hotel for bags and take train from Petershausen Train to Basel airport Fly back to Manchester Flight times: depart: 18.05 / arrive: 18.55 Coach back to school – 21.00
Educational Visit Keep a Travel Journal. During the trip you will be given the opportunity to sketch some of the sights and monuments. You will be asked to complete approximately 2 per day. You could…. Add in receipts and tickets. Write what you do each day. Leave space to add your photos in later. Add quotes and anecdotes. You will be given a small sketchbook and sketching pencils. You can also bring other materials with you, but remember you have to carry these. If you want to prepare some pages with colour… visit Miss Woodward’s classroom (22) on Friday 18th November.

MEDICAL FORMS Fill in now or take one home tonight Must be handed back to me asap.! You cannot travel without the green forms! Any medication must be handed to me on day of travel in a labelled plastic bag. thanks
Behaviour You are representing the school at all times: Flights/airports – no jokes or comments about bombs, terrorists etc… It could cause us all problems. Respect – war, nazi jokes etc… are not tolerated in Germany. Using trains – listening carefully to instructions Hotel – lights out 10.00pm Restaurants – be aware of others around you In public – impeccable behaviour will be expected
Personal Belongings Do bring a pencil case for your journals Ipads – leave at home! Phones – be aware of roaming costs and avoid calling home. Phones are not permitted during the day except for photos. Cameras – the cheaper the better
Social Media Only post things which have been agreed. Avoid posting anything, which could be misunderstood. Always contact me if you are worried about anything.
