Special Awards • Gold Valor Award • Silver Valor Award • Both valor awards recognize acts of heroism • Cadet Humanitarian Award • Provided aid in response to a singular extraordinary event • Community Service with Excellence Award • Key leaders of project that greatly benefits the community
National Awards • AF Association Award • Daedalian Award • American Legion Scholastic Award • American Legion General Military Excellence • Daughters of the American Revolution • American Veterans Award • Reserve Officers Association Award • Military Orders of World Wars Award • Military Officers Association Award • Veterans of Foreign Wars Award

AFJROTC Awards • Outstanding Cadet Ribbons • Annually, SASI discretion for top 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th year cadets • Leadership Ribbon • Outstanding leadership in Corps Training (5%) • Achievement Ribbon • Significant achievement (5%) • Superior Performance Ribbon • Annually, outstanding achievement (10%) • Distinguished Unit Award • All cadets assigned to unit when recognized
AFJROTC Awards • Aerospace & Tech Honors Camp Ribbon • Top Performer Award • Top 2% of cadets in leadership/job performance • Academic Ribbon • GPA of overall avg of B for one academic Term/ A avg in AFJROTC • Outstanding Flight Ribbon – each term • Leadership School Ribbon – complete leadership school of at least 5 days • Drill Competition Ribbon – members placing 1st, 2nd , or 3rd in an AF or Joint Service Meet • Orienteering Competition Ribbon – place 1st, 2nd, 3rd
AFJROTC Awards • Co-curricular Activities Leadership Ribbon • Leadership in activities such as mil ball • Drill Team Ribbon • Distinguished participation in at least 75% of all drill team events during the year, or 10 drill team events (which ever is lower) • Color Guard Ribbon • Distinguished participation in at least 75% of all drill team events during the year, or 10 drill team events (which ever is lower)
AFJROTC Awards • Service ribbon • Distinctive performance in school, community, or AFJROTC service projects • E2C Ribbon • Recruiting Ribbon • Outstanding effort in support of unit recruiting • Activities Ribbon • Participation in co-curricular activities other than Drill, Color Guard, & Saber • Attendance Ribbon – no more than 4 excused absences/tardies and no unexcused absences in an academic term
AFJROTC Awards • Good Conduct Ribbon • No suspensions of any kind, no adverse reports from other staff or faculty in an academic term, if approved by SASI • Dress and Appearance Ribbon • Wearing uniform on all designated uniform days and conforming to all AFJROTC dress and appearance standards, if approved by SASI • Longevity Ribbon – awarded for completion of each AS year • CAP Awards – Spatz Award, Eaker Award, Earhart Award, Mitchell Award, Curry Award may be worn
How Worn • Worn on blue shirt, above left pocket • Must be worn on service dress jacket, left pocket • Arranged in order of precedence (see chart) • Provide by unit
Certificates • Two types of Certificates • Certificate of Training • AFJROTC Certificate of Completion • Certificate of Training • Awarded to all cadets who successfully complete 2 years of AFJROTC • AFJROTC Certificate of Completion • Must successfully complete 3 years of AFJROTC
