  3. From what point of view is “Me and Uncle Romie” told? “Me and Uncle Romie” is told from a first person point of view. James is telling the story, and he is a character in the story. He uses words like “I” and “me” when he tells the story.

  4. Why is James going to New York City? James is going to New York City to spend the summer with his aunt and uncle for a vacation, because his mom is having twins soon.

  5. What is James nervous about in the beginning of the story? In the beginning of the story, James is nervous about having to go to New York City to stay with his aunt and uncle. He has never met them, and New York is very different from his home.

  6. Why does James think his birthday will be ruined? James thinks his birthday will be ruined because his aunt has to leave and he will be spending it with his uncle. James is sure that he and his uncle will have nothing in common. James thinks his uncle only cares about his art.
