CANC Recording of Out of Home Abuse Allegations b Detailed Guide a When creating a new referral or adding new allegations to an existing referral, the ID tab (a) of the allegation section (b) is where the perpetrator type can be entered. Pg 1 of 9
c The Perpetrator type defaults to “perpetrator Not Identified.” Until an entity from the “alleged perpetrator” drop-down box (c ) is selected, “perpetrator” and “Non-Protecting [caregiver/parent]” can not be selected (grayed out). Pg 2 of 9
A “Placement Facility type” drop-down (A) is disabled (grayed out) only until “Perpetrator-SCP/Res – Facility” radio button is selected. Pg 3 of 9
After clicking the“Perpetrator-SCP/Res – Facility” radio button, the “Placement Facility Type” drop-down button is activated (it becomes a periwinkle or outcome measures field) Pg 4 of 9
This drop-down contains out of home placement facility types. Note: The “Perpetrator Type” area includes radio buttons. As a result, Only ONE option can be selected. Note: Alleged perpetrator (name) drop-down menu does not become a yellow mandatory field, as the actual name may be unknown at the time of report. If Alleged Perpetrator’s name is known, it can be entered in the “blue” section under “existing client” section. It will then show under “Alleged Perpetrator” dropdown. Pg 5 of 9
A Alleged perpetrator’s name can be entered in the “blue” section under “existing client” section. A new person can be created by clicking the + under existing client notebook (A). All Yellow (Mandatory) and Periwinkle (Outcome Measure) fields need to be completed. Pg 6 of 9
Remember to complete relevant tabs such as Demographics (Demog.), Address, Names, and the “Related Clients” tab (shown here). Below are a few examples of a possible relationship between the alleged perpetrator and the child. Pg 7 of 9
