3. Normal norms • “Herr” or “Frau” and family name • Mister and Misses • Never forget the title • Mag., Dipl.-Ing., Dr., Hofrat, Komm.-rat. • Use “Danke” and “Bitte” • Thank you and Please • “Auf Wiedersehen” or “Tschuess” • Good bye or bye bye • Loud and clear

4. At the table • Wait for the waiter to be seated • When there is one waiter-women-you • When there isn’t one men-women • Open the door • Help in the jacket • Women sits towards the rest of the restaurant • Help the women to sit down • If she stands up / when she comes back • Stand up as well

5. Business norms • Come always on time • Be well dressed • Always women before • Act ‘gentleman like’ • Introduce the person you are coming with • Never forget the title • Normal handshake • Keep in contact
