  1. How to ACE the Free Response portion of the AP Statistics ExamThere are two methods to complete and utter (or otter or udder if you prefer terrible animal jokes) domination of the Free Response portion of the AP Statistics exam.

  2. Method 1: • When you open the test booklet, turn to problem #6. *Carefully read #6 and complete as much of that problem as you can. Make sure you budget your time and you don’t spend too much time here. After you have finished all you can complete on #6, read over all of the other problems and attack the problems that you feel most comfortable with first. • Remember that this exam is like a buffet. You should pick to do the problems you know how to do and spend the most time on those. Just like you wouldn’t want to load your plate with vegetables, you wouldn’t want to spend the most time on the problems you don’t feel comfortable working. Go for the problems you like as if they were fresh baked buttery rolls. Or even better, biscuits! Mmmmmmmmm, biscuits…

  3. Method 2: • When you open the test booklet, turn to problem #1. Carefully read #1 and then ace the question. Remember, #1 should involve something “basic” (in comparison to other Statistics topics) and should get your AP Statistics Free Response experience started with something positive. When you have finished #1, flip to #6. Go to Method #1 and follow the directions starting at the *.
