  1. First Inspection of Positron Data at 3.072 MeV/c • Data takingfeatures • Period 1 : 6189-6199 (11 runs) • Ts1reference timing, Initial shielding configuration • Short access to addshielding, Spectrometercurrent jumps • Period 2 : 6200-6231 (22 runs) • Ts1breference timing, Initial… • On-going investigations/controls of Power Supplies • Period 3 : 6538-6596 (25 runs) • Ts1b…, Optimizedshielding configuration, Night shift operation • Moving on 8-windows delay @ 6580 • Period 4 : 6606-6689 (58 runs) • Ts1b…, Optimized…, 0.1 mm W @ T1 Eric Voutier

  2. Timing & accidental Set 1 Set 2 Set 3 • The successive modifications to the timing signal, and the adjustment of the shielding configurationdidlargelyimproved the signal-to-noise ratio. Eric Voutier

  3. Energyspectra Set 4 - #6268 Set 2 - #6209 Contamination from the crystalmaterialdecay. • PMT gain variation, alreadyobservedatprevious positron momentum, isalsopresent in this data set. • Following the lowerdetectionefficiency, the internal PMT background isapparent in the FADC spectra. Eric Voutier

  4. Time-walk correction 6.245 MeV/c –TS1b 3.072 MeV/c – Ts1 shifted 3.072 MeV/c – Ts1b • The behaviour of the time-walk correction functionathighenergyis an artefact of the fittingprocedureoriginatingfromeventstatistics. • It shouldfollow the linear extrapolation of the dominant first order polynomial. Eric Voutier

  5. • The walk-correctionfunctionderivedfrom 3.072MeV/c data appearsunexpecditlyslightyshiftedfrom 6.245 MeV/c data. • Differenceswillbeconsidered for time-walksystematics. Eric Voutier
