RON on RON is THE LEADER in Oklahoma The 2009 Ag Media Research Survey is in for the state of Oklahoma- and the Radio Oklahoma Network is the dominant network to reach farmers and ranchers in the state. In 2007, the RON network was in a virtual dead heat with the Oklahoma Agrinet according to all surveys taken with the state of Oklahoma. The 2009 study changed all of that. In all three snapshots below, RON wins- and wins convincingly in all crops and categories. In the statewide survey of all farmers surveyed, here are the numbers from 2007 and 2009: Full State: Network 2007 AQH 2009 AQH 2007 Cume 2009 Cume Radio Oklahoma Network 28.0 34.8 39.3 36.3 Oklahoma Agrinet 27.3 22.4 38.8 29.9 Less KTJS 18.5 25.8 Full State – Cattle: Network 2007 AQH 2009 AQH 2007 Cume 2009 Cume Radio Oklahoma Network 29.1 37.0 42.4 38.4 Oklahoma Agrinet 27.1 23.3 42.3 30.9 Less KTJS 19.3 26.6 Full State – Wheat: Network 2007 AQH 2009 AQH 2007 Cume 2009 Cume Radio Oklahoma Network 24.9 34.1 40.9 40.0 Oklahoma Agrinet 28.2 24.3 42.2 36.0 Less KTJS 18.8 29.4 Just before the 2009 survey was released, it was determined by AMR research that rated station KTJS in Hobart and KJCM in Snyder were in the process of ending their relationship with the Oklahoma Agrinet, becoming an exclusive affiliate of RON as of October 11, 2009 Another proof of the dominance of the Radio Oklahoma Network is the difference in the number of radio stations. RON had 40 stations verified by AMR for the 2009 study, while the Oklahoma Agrinet had 34. It bears notice that 38 of the 40 stations verified by AMR for RON are Oklahoma stations, while just 26 of the Agrinet stations are Oklahoma stations. In fact, three of the AM stations listed by the Oklahoma Agrinet have little or NO coverage into Oklahoma. And, KTJS in Hobart and KJCM in Snyder will no longer be affiliates of the Oklahoma Agrinet as of October 11, 2009. That gives the Oklahoma Agrinet only 24 Oklahoma radio stations- compared to 38 verified by AMR for RON! When it comes to the stations with the most impact- RON has those stations as well, with three of the top five individual stations in total CUME being RON affiliates versus just one of the top five claimed by the Agrinet. The 2009 AMR study makes it easy- the Radio Oklahoma Network is THE best way to reach farmers and ranchers across Oklahoma.
