  3. Bede: The Historian Monk • Read last paragraph in bottom left-hand and then right-hand column on page 127 • Watch Videos Bede #1-3 • Read “Church and State Entangled” on page 128 and the text beginning “Papal States” on lower right column of page 128 and finishing on page 129

  4. Charlemagne • Son of Pepin who crated the Papal States • French for “Charles the Great” • Read text “Conversion by the Sword” on page 129 • On page 130-131 read about changes in church rituals

  5. Watch video Charlemagne 1-2 • In class read text on pages 131-132 • Watch videos on an “Intro to Feudalism 1-3” as a preliminary to our discussions beginning on page 133 (3 videos) • Watch videos “Feudalism # 1-6” (6 videos)
