The Indian government has recently extended the GST business registration deadline to 30 April 2017. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do this registration process. A guide to registering your small business under GST Obtain a temporary username and password for you State VAT / Central Excise / Service Tax Authority.   2. Once you have checked the registration process, go back to the homepage and click on NEW USER LOGIN. Read the Steps to Complete Temporary Registration, check that “I agree to provide information in accordance with the provisions of the Proposed Property and Taxation Act (GST Act).” box on the application form and click CONTINUE. GST A pop-up with a list of required documents will be displayed. Make sure you have the documents (100KB-1MB PDF / JPG files) listed before proceeding further: ● Deed of partnership ● Registration Certificate ● Organizational Memorandum and Organizational Documents ● Two rules of the Organization ● Taxable Receipt ● Copy of Khata Municipality ● Electricity Bill ● Lease / lease agreement ● Letter of Consent ● Any other certificate/document issued by the Government ● Any other certificate or record from a government department ● Bank statement ● Letter of Authorization ● A copy of the decision passed by the BoD / Managing Committee ● The first page of the bank pass letter ● Bank statement ● Picture

  3. Now, log in with your temporary username and password, fill in the details and upload the supporting documents. Make sure the email ID and phone number you provide are valid because this is the information that will be registered on the GST Network (GSTN). When you proceed, you will be asked to change your password. Make sure you make a note of your new password! You will now be given an Application Number (ARN) that will be sent to your registered email ID. Note this below for all future purposes. Once verification is complete, your GST certificate will be available for download on the GSTN portal dashboard.
