CAT: Instructions • Try to write as clearly as possible • Try to express your ideas as clearly as possible • Answer the questions in the order presented—don’t go back and change previous answers • You might learn something in a question that you have to apply to questions that follow • Answer each question completely—don’t assume that your answer to a previous question will be included as part of your response
The Importance of CAT • Your score won’t be tied to you, but CAT results affect the way that others judge the value of a degree from SFSU • Critical thinking and real-world problem solving skills are very important to prospective employers • So, try to do as well as you can!
CAT • About 1 hour to complete the test • You’ll receive a shrink-wrapped package containing: • test booklet • envelope • Don’t open them yet! • On back of test booklet, enter • student ID number • “local code” 7101 • demographic information • Open envelope when starting Part II of the test
