  3. The main plot in ‘Macbeth’ is actually a fairly simple one, but it is the characters that make this play more difficult to follow than the average drama. I don’t want to give away the answers on the quiz at the end of this PowerPoint so I plan to keep this as vague as possible but still hope to jog your memory on what you should already know. Simply put, it is a story of a man who desires power and is willing go to some extreme measures to get exactly what he wants. After doing the bad deeds he achieves his goal. However, he is haunted by his past and it starts to eat him up inside, while others who do not approve of him and find the series of events rather sketchy plan to take action and get down to the bottom of what has really happened. Read directions for the quiz
