Story of Waleed al-Mugheerah • ذَرْنِي وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًاLeave Me Alone (to deal) with whom I created Alone (without any means, i.e. Al-Walîd bin Al-Mughîrah Al-Makhzûmî) 12وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَّمْدُودًاAnd then granted him resources in abundance. • 13وَبَنِينَ شُهُودًاAnd children to be by his side! • 14وَمَهَّدتُّ لَهُتَمْهِيدًاAnd made life smooth and comfortable for him! • 15ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَAfter all that he desires that I should give more; • 16كَلَّا إِنَّهُ كَانَلِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيدًاNay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). (Al-Muddaththir 74:16)

12. 17سَأُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًاI shall oblige him to (climb a slippery mountain in the Hell-fire called As­Sa'ûd, or to) face a severe torment! 18إِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَVerily, he thought and plotted; (Al-Muddaththir 74:18)[19فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَSo let him be cursed! How he plotted! (Al-Muddaththir 74:19)20ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَAnd once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! (Al-Muddaththir 74:20)

13. ثُمَّ نَظَرَThen he thought; (Al-Muddaththir 74:21)22ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَThen he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; (Al-Muddaththir 74:22)23ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَThen he turned back and was proud; (Al-Muddaththir 74:23)24فَقَالَ إِنْهَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُThen he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old; (Al-Muddaththir 74:24)25إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِ"This is nothing but the word of a human being!" (Al-Muddaththir 74:25)26سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَI will cast him into Hell-fire (Al-Muddaththir 74:26)
