KfW custom Access db USAID NEWVERN UNFPA PeopleSoft Shipment Reports Forecast Reports Net Need Reports Qty/Value Reports RHI IPPF custom appn RHI Demonstration: Structure
The RHInterchange will improve... • Collection and use of commodity management information • Currently: USAID • Actively Working to Participate: IPPF, KfW (short term) • Next: UNFPA, DFID, PSI and DKT • Planning and management • Efficiency and cost-effectiveness of participating programs
Accomplishments • Harmonization of existing data, terminology • Participation • USAID participating • IPPF expected in May • UNFPA initial data expected in May • KfW participation expected in May • Result • current participation: 59% by value • future participation: 79% by value
Challenges • Baseline year 2000 • Data cleaning • Competing priorities • Missing data • Forecasting
Questions • By when should the original three organizations provide their data for shipping information on a regular basis? • How important is historical information to you? What should the baseline year be? • If World Bank-funded procurements are available via various procurement agencies, even if the data is only representative of a small percentage of WB activity, can we use, and display, this information in the RHI?
Questions • What would your priority for the RHI be by the next Partnership meeting: 1) data expansion (broaden the donors providing data to the RHI); 2) data use (focus time on making RHI known to the community that could use RHI data); 3) commodity expansion (look to include other RH supplies provided by IPPF, UNFPA and USAID); 4) other (please describe). • In what ways can the Partnership be involved in making the above happen?
Questions • How do you anticipate using RHI in your business? • How can you contribute to RHI promotion, so that your field staff are aware of, and can use, the RHI? • Would you be interested in a future discussion to establish baseline and target performance improvement indicators in the area of donor-supplied commodities?
