About The Giant Squid • The Giant Squid is from the deep dwelling squid family, AKA the Architeuthidae. • The Giant Squid is known to grow to a tremendous size.
Characteristics (Female) • The average length of a female Giant Squid is 13 Meters long or 43 ft. • It weights about 276 kg and is about 610 lb • Without the Tentacles the female Giant Squids are normally about 5 meters long (16 ft)
Characteristics (Male) • The average length of a male is about 10 meters of about 30 ft. • It weights about 150 kg or 330 lb.
Diet • The Giant Squid feast on deep under water fish and other species of squids • They are believed to be solitary hunters because only individual Giant Squids get caught by net. • They Capture there prey by grabbing it by its to long tentacles and pulling it into its powerful beak
There Predator • The Predator of a full grown Giant Squid is a Sperm Whale • Some times packs of Pilot Whales attack and feast on it to • And off course we capture these squids to for food
Where does it Live? • The Giant Squids live in the deep waters of the continental and island slopes. • They live around the North Atlantic ocean and others live in the pacific
