Development KUKA Roboter GmbH / Siemens AG Medical Solutions Absolute positioning KUKA robot – Sub-millimeter accuracy required Standard SafeRDC – Safe operation Unprecedented accessibility KUKA Medical Robots
KUKA Medical Robots – Med AX Application • Innovative angiography and cardiologysystem • Angiography is a medical imaging technique in which an X-ray picture is taken to visualize the inner opening of blood filled structures, including arteries, veins and the heart chambers. • The Robot holds the C-arm incl. tube, collimator and detector and moves it according to the control commands.
KUKA Medical Robots – Med PT Application • Particle Therapy • Handling of C-Arc & Patient Positioning by robots • Particle therapy is a form of external beam radiotherapy using beams of protons and carbon ionics • The robot guides a patient couch relatively to an particle beam. The couch can be positioned in relation to the acquired X-ray-data coordinates.
Sub-millimeter accuracy requirements of full body radiosurgery System offers unprecedented accessibility to tumors anywhere in the body The KUKA robot guides a linac to treat tumours with X-Ray beam. The linac can be positioned highly flexible by the robot. Respiratory guided robot movements guaranties lower dose application. KUKA Medical Robots – Accuray Cyberknife
