Experience / Expertise • PhD in Chemical Energy Engineering/Materials Science/Physical Chemistry • Research projects on Materials chemistry and characterization; nanoparticles (synthesis and characterization); synthesis by sol-gel, Multifunctional Materials (Super-capacitors, Battery materials, Thermoelectric materials, Superconductors, high temperature ceramics, Catalysts etc.) • Project manager for research projects on materials related to fossil energy systems • Currently working in projects to develop infiltration of cathode materials for fuel cell, TBC materials, spinel coatings etc. • Gasification/heterogeneous catalysis
Current Research interests in the Energy-Related Materials Area • Infiltration of cathode materials with mixed electric-ionic conductors (MEIC) to improve performance. • Characterization of MEIC materials. • Development of infiltration methods. • Cell testing and evaluation.
Future Research interests in the Energy-Related Materials Area • Development of multifunctional materials Super-capacitors, Battery materials (Li-battery), Thermoelectric materials, Superconductors, High temperature ceramics, Catalysts etc. --- for applications in energy storage. • Electrochemical gasification using coal particles for the production of pure hydrogen. • Nano-semiconducting materials for hydrogen production. • Light Emitting Diode (LED) materials.
