  1. Things to know about syndet bars The syndet bar is a blended word made by combining words like synthetic detergent. Ideally it is a cleansing product made by binding of various synthetic detergents. It is the name given to cleansing bar or liquid bar made with synthetic surfactants. These bars cannot really call them as soap as the word soap actually has a legal definition given by the FDA. Sydnets are made with synthetic yes surfactants they do not meet the legal definitions of the soap yes there is a lot of buzz as marketing ploy about using PHP balanced bars to go soap free. One of the main concerns with using real soap is its pH score. The real handmade soaps are made with natural ingredients and have a pH that varies from 8 to 10 depending on how they are made. One needs to consider fatty alcohol in the soap. The soaps are made with same ingredients as a liquid body washes and shampoos that so many people love but only without the extra water in plastic bottle as they usually create a lot of loamy ladder and come in fun colors and sense. People often have less adjustments to sydnets shampoo bars but when shampoo bars claim to be soap free there must be some synthetic ingredient acting as a surfactant to create later and cleanse her. If you’re just using a bottle shampoo without the added water or the bottle especially with many of the new shampoo bars on the market. Poor quality handmade soaps and mass market commercial stops are often included with other chemicals that increase the pH and make some harsh and drying to the skin. Allowing there to be some leftover alkali in the soap which increases the shelf life and hardness of the soap bars that is important when a bar needs to sit on a store shelf for years to come first stop
