  2. What Is Fall Protection/Prevention? • Fall Protection is a system that is designed to protect associates from the risk of falls when working at within 6’ of an open edge or 4’ above the floor level. • Fall Prevention is a structural design that limits a fall to the same level.

  3. Why Do we Need Fall Protection? • Falls are one of the leading causes of worker fatalities and injuries! • Associates need to be aware of a variety of Fall Protection Systems.

  4. What are some of the Potential Fall Hazards? • Failing to use appropriate Fall Protection • Using Fall Protection equipment Improperly • Using Equipment that is not in proper working condition • Poor Housekeeping Issues

  5. ABC’s of Personal Fall Systems • Ais for Anchor Point • B is for Body Harness • C is for Connecting Device

  6. Why Is Fall Protection Important? DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

  7. REMEMBER! Mandatory Fall Protection Is required when working 6’ of an open edge, 4’ above the floor level, and/or where there are fall exposures! • Our primary concerns and exposures at Ferguson are: • MEZZANINE • ORDERPICKERS • FORKLIFTS with APPROVED CAGES
