THE PURPOSE • The local umw organization of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is: • To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. • To develop a creative supportive fellowship. • To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church

  3. The local UMW secretary shall: • Understand the Purpose • Prepare minutes of meetings and send to team • Give notice of Executive meetings

  4. The local UMW Secretary shall: • Be custodian of legal papers and official records

  5. The local UMW Secretary shall: • Sign with the president legal papers, making certain of proper date.

  6. Keep an accurate up-to-date roll of membership

  7. The Great Northern District Mission Team is waiting for list of your elected leaders A.S.A.P. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • Send a list of elected leaders of the local UMW to district secretary upon election, including: • Local UMW, name, position • addresses with zip codes, • telephone numbers, • email addresses

  9. Serve on the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE and, • where they exist, • the Committees on • Finance and Membership • Nurture and Outreach.
