(at the store, on t.v., at the mall, etc.) • Is anything happening in the story that is happening in real life right now? (Think about the news)

  3. Text to Text • How is this story like another story that I’ve read? • Are any of the characters similar? Do they have similar personalities or problems? Do they solve their problems the in the same way? • Is the setting similar? • Is it in a similar genre as a book I’ve read before? • Are there similarities in the plot?
