When you use Sage Payroll to pay the employees, then you must set up your pay day calendars. Don’t you know how to do this? Don’t worry as we are here to help you at each and every point. Setting up pay day helps the user to keep an eye on the records for when to pay them.
Continue….. When you pay the employees then the Payroll automatically moves to the next pay run date in the calendar. This saves the time and it doesn’t require to manually enter the dates each time.
Let’s discuss the steps to set up a new pay calendar: • Open Sage software on your computer and then navigate to Settings. • Move to Calendar Settings and then enter the following details:
Weekly, two weekly and four weekly pay calendars • Pay day: select the day on which you would like to pay your employees • First Pay run: pick the date which you would like to pay first to your employees.
Continue….. • Avoid public holidays and weekends: If a pay day falls on a public holiday then the pay date will automatically shift to the next day by selecting this option.
Monthly pay calendar • Pay On: choose any one from the following: Same day of the month: choose this option to pay your employs on the same date Last day of the month: choose this option to pay your employees on the last working day of the month
Continue….. • First Pay Run: select the first month you wish to pay your employees • Avoid public holidays and weekends: If a pay day falls on a public holiday then the pay date will automatically shift to the next day by selecting this option.
Continue….. • Select Save after making the above changes to the software. To make changes to the calendar, go to Settings> Calendar Settings. And, if you wish to delete it then, go to Manage Frequency under Relevant calendar section and then click Remove Frequency followed by clicking on the Yes Button.
