Introduction & Literature Review
Introduction Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) System Technology Analysis EIA Decision Making Information Other Input Public Involment Barrett et al. (2007)
Introduction Su et al. (2009) Complex Calculation Shi et al. (2006) Tang et al. (2010) McKone (2006) Kortelainen (2008)
Literatures Review Urban system Resource Socioeconomic Entropy Rebane (1995) Johansson (2001) He et al. Objectives To establish a simple and accurate score system for environmental assessment. To assess situations and problems of present land use by this score system.
Study Area Du (1994), Cheng et al. (1994), Hsu (2000), Lee et al. (2002), Ma et al. (2007)
Methods Data Collection Area Separation EIA Factors Preliminary EIA Score system Factor Grading Multivariate Statistical Analysis Weighting of Factors EIA system and Score Area Grades Results and Discussions Conclusions and Future works
Methods Urban Environmental Entropy (UEE) (1) (2) Ouyang et al., (2008)
Methods Common Environmental Factors U.S.EPA. (1998) Wu et al. (2010) Purkait et al. (2008) He et al., (2007) Larsen et al. (2010)
Preliminary Results Urbanization of coastal area Annual coastal area river quality change Annual coastal area total phosphorous change Annual coastal area CF metals change Annual coastal area air quality change
Preliminary Results Urbanization of cities Annual cities area air quality change Annual cities area river quality change Annual cities area total phosphorous change Annual cities area CF metals change
Conclusions • Environment of coastal area are improving. • Development of Nan-Kan area leads to the increased urban-level and decreased river quality. • Jung-Li exhibits the highest UEE because of highly urbanized.
Future works To further estimate other land use by UEE models. To discuss reasons and possible solutions of environmental problems.
