  2. BIG question • Do warmer seas make stronger hurricanes? • I am doing this to see if the tempature of the water causes a hurricane to be stronger or weaker.

  3. Hypothesis I think warmer oceans do make stronger hurricanes. I think this because the water tempature usally gets wamer when there is a hurricane.

  4. Experiment Gather materials: a computer w/ internet and printer Do your background reasearch on hurricanes. you will need to find 40 hurricanes and there water tempature. You will do this by going to the national bouy center and finding and the year of the hurricane. Do this for 40 times. after that make a graph fo ALL the wind temp. and the weather of the water. Then you will conclude and see your observations.   6. Observations Hurricanes happen mostly in the summer and early fall seasons. The wind is mighty when there is a hurricane It can blow down a house from eather the wind or the water. Most of the hurricanes are Manly around Teaxs- Flordia Hurricanes are VERY scary

  8. Analysis of Data • A.) the experiment shows that warmer seas do create stronger hurricanes’ . From the data we see that as the water temperature increases the possibility of the hurricane’s strength will increase. • B.) I gathered water tempature from data bouys in different oceans and compared them against how powerful the hurricanes were from those areas.

  9. conclusion A. My hypothesis was correct on average B.I would gather data on the average water temp. of oceans throughout the years and compare that to the number of the intensity of hurricanes. C. How are hurricanes formed? What other factors can cause a hurricane to be stronger other than water tempature?
