  4. OUR STORY Create the Good launched in 2009 to encourage service in communities by providing an easy and free way to connect volunteers with local opportunities and organizations – like yours!

  7. REGISTRATION Click on top righthand corner of homepage Registration benefits volunteers AND organizations. Then click here!

  8. AUTOMATIC EMAILS Twice a month, Create the Good members receive an email notification if there are new opportunities in their area so they can keep up on what’s new right from their inbox.

  9. ADDITIONAL RESOURCES Find toolkits and project guides to help start individual service projects

  10. ADDITIONAL RESOURCES Explore ideas, inspiration and resources on a variety of topics, and link to social media feeds and the AARP blog.

  11. VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHTS Also on the Get Inspired page is a Volunteer Spotlight, highlighting inspirational volunteer stories.

  12. HOW TO POST AN OPPORTUNITY Click Find Volunteers to start recruiting!

  13. HOW TO POST AN OPPORTUNITY Upon registering and logging in, you can manage all opportunities – active, inactive, and pending – from the Find Volunteers tab.

POSTING TIPS Descriptive Title Date parameters Specific Dates vs Ongoing Localizing, when possible • Keywords: • Title and description should include keywords • Help users quickly identify opportunities to match their interests • Examples: Long-term care, Advocate, Ombudsman, Seniors, Aging, Nursing Home
