  5. NATURE MIRACLES • Jesus’ apparent control over the forces of nature (calming a storm, feeding thousands, walking on water)

  6. SO… • The miracles show that the power of God was manifested in the person of Jesus without which Jesus’ words would lack credibility.

  7. How do we know Jesus worked miracles???? 1. Supported by historical records – Non-Christian historians referred to Jesus as a “wonder-worker.” 2. Not denied by the Pharisees – They charged Him with working many wonders through the power of the devil.

  8. 3. Affirmed by eyewitnesses – It is a historical fact that Jesus’ miracles were witnessed by many who were still alive when the gospels were written. Many were willing to die rather that give up their faith.
