Our Mission & Vision • The mission of Ardath High School is to provide an environment that inspires, challenges, and is safe for all students, staff, and parents. • At Ardath High School we envision our academic community consisting of effective relationships between teachers, students, parents, and our community with all playing a significant part in each pupil succeeding.

Curriculum & Instruction Goals Over the next three years, all Ardath High School students will increase their performance on state-mandated tests through participation in an organized intervention/remediation program, through the use of purposeful and deliberate differentiated instruction, through teacher PLC involvement, and through the implementation of assistive technologies. Goal 1: Improve state-mandated test scores by 5% in Math for each of the next three years. Goal 2:Improve state-mandated test scores by 6% in Reading and Writing for each of the next three years. Goal 3:Improve state-mandated test scores by 6% in History/ Government/ Economics for each of the next three years.
Quality Instruction&Quality Teachers Goals 100% of Ardath High School teachers will become more effective collaborators using the Professional Learning Communities model with a focus on student learning and achievement as measured by the development and use of common formative and summative assessments, response to intervention, and through the use of research-based best practices. Goal 1: 100% of the Ardath High School teachers will be trained in PLC meeting facilitation skills, use of formative & summative assessments, and data analysis. Goal 2: 100% of Ardath teachers will participate in department and course level PLCs to develop and implement common course formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress towards standards. Goal 3:100% of Ardath teachers will identify struggling learners in order to have their learning needs addressed through an effective system of interventions.
School Climate & CultureGoals Ardath High School students will have an increase in their attendance, communication with parents and other community members, and public relations with neighboring businesses. Goal 1: Increase communication between classroom teachers and parents by changing the current minimum required contact from twice per quarter to three times per quarter (progress report, report cards, and one other), plus one additional parent involvement activity during the school year. Goal 2: The student body will increase the overall attendance rate by 12% over a three-year period. Goal 3: Students will attend mandatory tutoring during instructional intervention period if they are not meeting the standards in one or more core subject area (L. Arts, Math, Economics/Government/History). Goal 4: Increase public relations by 30% with surrounding community businesses, volunteers, and student-centered service projects
