Netbooks • Goals met: • Problem-solving • Critical thinking • Research and writing skills • Testing skills • Acer, Chrome OS, 2GB memory, Dual-Core Processor, 16 GB SSD • Various Apps will be downloaded to assist in meeting goals • Netbooks will be shared between classes • Netbooks will be numbered and assigned to students • Teachers can monitor activity

  8. Socrative Response System • Goals met: • Problem Solving • Test-taking skills • Writing skills • Online student response system • Students can use netbooks to answer questions • Answers come to teacher iPad or interactive white board • Easy to create questions, and to answer

Netop vision • Goals met: enables teacher to be sure goals are being met without distraction from outside sources • Teacher can monitor students’ computers from their iPad • See what each student is doing • Make sure students are staying on-task • Picture of each students’ screen is transferred to teacher iPad for viewing • Stays updated with whatever is on student screen

Basic Teacher training • Teachers need to learn to use and implement new technologies in their classrooms to meet diverse student learning needs. • Series of three training sessions designed for teachers teaches them to use new technologiesto support diverse learning styles. • Things to know: • How to maintain hardware (various devices) • How to download and support software (various devices) • How to use basic apps • How to determine which apps are most useful • How to close the digital divide and meet technology needs of all students

Extended Teacher training • Research Lessons for students • Online session helps teachers discover technologies and strategies to help students learn to effectively conduct research. • Digital technology integration • Online session trains teachers to effectively integrate technology into their classrooms • Includes using wikis, blogs, etc.
