IMFs • Quotas determine how much power and how much they can borrow • IMF loans usually by the members • Can also take a trust fund out that the IMF administer • They may also borrow from members
Extra Money • Also earn money from interest from loans • These costs pay for expenses and balances
IMF Assistance • 2 types of financial assistance low income countries • Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust (PRGT) • Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) • Resources come from the members and the IMF
