  10. Course Repeat Policy This policy applies to all undergraduate courses offered at UMES effective academic year 2016-2017. • Students may repeat courses offered at UMES one time without special permission. These include courses for which the student earned any grade (B,C,D,F,P, or W ). Grades of W, earned by withdrawing from a class after the ADD/DROP period are considered grades and are subject to this policy. Exceptions are those courses that may be repeated for credit. • Students who wish to repeat a course a second time (third enrollment) must seek approval from the Department Chair or Dean of the School of the student’s major program The number of withdrawals from all courses throughout a student’s degree is limited to 16 credits. • This policy will be effective in the Fall 2016 term. Students enrolled in courses will be allowed to repeat a course once without appeal, as per this policy. The total number of withdrawals from all courses will be grandfathered in beginning with the students entering in the Fall of 2016.

  11. Course Repeat Policy • How restrictive should the policy be? • Who approves the course repeat? • How extensive should the remediation plan be?
