  2. Public records are available through online services at www.uky.edu/kgs Online search Interactive maps Enable pop up windows! KGS home page

  3. Query‒based search services are one of two main portals for data access. Scanned images require DjVu plug-in

  4. A well data search is performed by selecting and setting criteria. Select county Set date limit Limit by logs Search

  5. The results page provides access to view and download data. Plats, completions, logs View and download production data by well Download tiff images of logs and LAS files Jump to map and send location to your GPS Download header data to spreadsheet

  6. Scanned Documents Scanned documents are available for browsing, printing, or downloading. Public disclosure Completion and stimulation Casing and cement

  7. The map interface is the other gateway to spatial data.

  8. Base map layers and transparency are controlled by slides and check boxes. Base Map Slide Controls Topo Geologic Aerial Planimetric

  9. Features are selected using check boxes.

  10. Online data include photos and scenic geology.

  11. A mobile application is available for tablets and smart phones. (Help) (Zoom to location, search) (Identify features) (Highlight geology) (Zoom to current location) (Map layer settings ) (View legend) Nothing to install. Your mobile device is automatically detected when you access the geologic map service.

  12. A standard geologic map shows the distribution of mapped rock units. (View legend)

  13. Tap the tool and then tap in the map area to highlight a geologic unit. (Highlight geology)

  14. There is an option to display the distribution of dominant rock types.

  15. The susceptibility to forming karst-related features can also be displayed. Sinkholes

  16. Available data include water wells and springs.

  17. Oil and gas well location data can be plotted and queried.

  18. Coal thickness and borehole data are available.

  20. Use the identify tool to get information about a point feature. Tap Identify Tap well

  21. Tap the links to get more information. Tap Links

  22. The mobile view documents service is under development.
