Early in his career, he worked for Bradlees, a chain of department stores as Director of Facility Operations and Construction. This role relied heavily on his education from the Institute of Design and Construction in Brooklyn, New York. He now owns his own businesses consulting and selling rare exotic fig trees, Salangi Enterprises LLC and Sallee Figs, where he serves as President of his companies.
