3. The Global Entrepreneurship Center (GEC) was started in 2003 with an award of a Kauffman Collegiate Entrepreneurship Network (KCEN) Grant for $50,000. The Center designed from beginning as a cross-campus activity by the College of Business Administration and the College of Engineering. Later the Colleges of Arts & Sciences and Education join. 4. 125+ campuses in the 2003 KCEN Candidate chosen from KCEN schools. Research oriented universities only. Mixture of public and private universities. Majority and minority oriented institutions. Campuses from around the country. Looking for “out of the box” proposals. KCEN & Campuses Grants
