Speeding to Read Clara Love Elementary has embarked upon the SPEEDING to READ Challenge. Students have been challenged to read 1 MILLION words by APRIL. This year students will be rewarded throughout the year if they keep up with the reading goals that are set for each grade level. These goals should be easily attainable because students are reading on a daily basis and keeping up with their reading within their independent reading logs. Student progress is being monitored in homeroom classes.. Students in each class will be RACING other classes in our RACING to READ challenge. The class with the most books read will get a SUPER, FANTASTIC, AMAZING Prize through our partnership with the Texas Motor Speedway! We also have smaller celebrations along the way to encourage students to read, Read, READ to reach their personal reading goals! Make note of the following date below. Please help your child to reach his/her book targets.
