Technologist Training Technical training was put on ‘hold’ by ACC awaiting the outcome of the ‘re-bundling’ of the NOS. CMGS moved forward with their scheme. ACC (June 2007) asked technologists to start work again on the cytogeneticists scheme as time was moving on Opportunity for some ‘joined up’ working Joint meeting - Dec 11th to take forward
Vision Competence based training linked to regulation with increased skill mix and flexibility Five year plan – test pilot models – establish new training structure to launch in 2012
CSO - ‘The proposal is not about creating/maintaining a high level graduate workforce that is responsible for a technical workload’ However :- Over-riding principle must be a competent workforce , fit for purpose CSO – ‘Doing nothing is not an option’
