  5. Snack Time and Meal Times • Attention and motivation • Establish a routine • Reinforce manners (please/thank you) • Lesson 3 - food signs • Activity – iPad review • Song – “Snack Time Rap”

  6. Emphasize a Theme • Choose 2 or 3 signs to reinforce a weekly theme. • Use the signs while reading, singing, or discussing. • Have a specific time for teaching new signs (center activity or circle time) • Example – Farm theme (Lesson 4 - animals) • Song – “Old MacDonald”

  7. Finger Plays, Rhymes and Songs • Movement is natural when singing and playing. • Helps with memory and language acquisition. • Encourage signs when singing familiar songs. • Lesson 5 - playtime signs
