Clinical Study Based View Clinical Study: A set of guidelines that explains when and what clinical data is to be collected in order to be utilized for a particular research study. Participant: Participant is an individual whose clinical data is collected. Participant may not necessarily be a patient.
Add New Participant c. a. b. Participant Registration: Registration of participant to a particular clinical study so that the data coordinators can collect clinical data based on study’s CRFs and IRB guidelines.

Add New Participant Event: A group of one or more visits under which data for a given set clinical variables is entered for a participant.
Exercise Add a new participant to the General Study. Define consent of that participant while registering.
Search Existing Participant a. b. c.
Exercise Task – Add a new participant (either identified or de-identified) Task – Search for an existing Participant with study ID = P002
Activate Visit: one event – one visit case a. b. IMPORTANT! This is just an anticipated date of visit. It may/may not be actual visit date. So, always enter the occurring-visit’s date in “Set Encounter Date” field on RHS even if it is same as anticipated date c. IMPORTANT! Always enter this date before doing any data entry. It is the actual date of an occurring Visit.
