Ⅲ. Maintenance Replacement of toner cartridge • Because these is not OPC protecting shutter, picture is affected by OPC light fatigue. Don’t open the right cover for a long time. • Although Toner Cartridges are equipped at each color space, caution message could be displayed by CRUM information. • When toner cartridge replace, PTB belt could be damaged.
Ⅲ. Maintenance • Using the handle, Completely open the access door. • Press the green release button on the inside of the access door to release the transfer belt. • Holding the handle on the transfer belt, lift the used transfer belt out of the printer. • Take a new transfer belt out of the package. PTB Unit Release Lever • Remove the paper covering the transfer belt by removing the tape. • Holding the handle on the new transfer belt, align in with the slots on the inside of the access door. Push down until it clicks into place. • Then lower the transfer belt until it is parallel with the access door and firmly seated.
Ⅲ. Maintenance Difference of Original & Refill Cartridge Original Cartridge Release Lever Refill Cartridge
Ⅳ. Printing Problems &Solution Objectives • Building ability to deal with various problems raised in the field by reviewing troubleshooting. • Check the solution of each problem .
Ⅳ. Printing Problems &Solution Printing Problems 1. Vertical Black Line and Band Description: 1. Straight thin black vertical lines occur in the printing 2. Dark black vertical bands occurs in the printing Check and Cause Solution • Damaged developer roller, deformed Doctor-blade or cleaning blade in the toner cartridge. • Scratched (Contaminated) surface of the charge roller in the toner cartridge. • Damaged Paper Transfer Belt (PTB) or contaminated on PTB. • Contaminated on Paper Charge Roller. • Replace the toner cartridge and test again • Replace the toner cartridge and test again • Replace the PTB unit and test again • Replace the PTB unit or Cleaning the paper charge roller
Ⅳ. Printing Problems &Solution Printing Problems 2. Vertical White Line Description: White vertical voids in the image. Check and Cause Solution • Contamination of the window or internal lenses of LSU mirror. • Foreign object inside the toner cartridge. • Scratch of OPC Drum • Clean the LSU window with recommended cleaner(IPA). Clean the window with a clean cotton swab. If dir is inside the LSU-replace LSU. • Replace the toner cartridge. • Replace the toner cartridge.
Ⅳ. Printing Problems &Solution Printing Problems 3. Horizontal Bands Description: Dark or white horizontal stripes occur in the printing periodically (These may occurs at regular intervals down the page.) Check and Cause Solution • Bad contacts on the toner cartridge high voltage terminals. • The rollers in the toner cartridge may be contaminated • Charge roller – 26.7 mm • Supply roller – 41.0 mm • Develop roller – 32.5 mm (K) • 30.6 mm (YMC) • Transfer roller – 43.9 mm (PTB inside) • Paper charge roller – 37.5 mm • OPC Drum – 75.4 mm • Fusing Belt – 127.0 mm • Contamination of the Gap-Ring - regular intervals 39.0mm • Clean all HV terminals in the cartridge and on the set frame. Ensure all toner or paper dust, particles are removed.. • Replace the toner cartridge. • Replace the toner cartridge
