The Sound Impact Awards, led by the NUS Services, recognize and celebrate environmental best practices in student unions. This model, initiated by Jamie Agombar and Anna Heywood, promotes engagement in sustainability through audits, accreditations, and awards ceremonies. By encouraging reduction, reuse, recycling, energy efficiency, and ethical procurement, the program inspires positive change in student-led initiatives. The strategic approach of the Sound Impact Awards aims to elevate environmental consciousness and drive collective action within the student union ecosystem.
