What is the Purpose of the Gov’t Affairs Office? To establish ASHRAE as a leading source for expertise in the built environment and a resource for policymakers in the development of legislation and regulations affecting the public, the HVAC&R community, and the engineering profession.

ASHRAE founded in 2007 and has lead ever since. Now co-chaired by ASHRAE and IAPMO. • Over 200 members of the “who’s who” in the buildings community. • Over 60 Congressional briefings held on high-performance buildings issues. Public Policy Internship • New internship in ASHRAE’s Government Affairs Office in Washington, DC • Intern works primarily on federal-level issues, and assists state and local issues as needed • ASHRAE is currently seeking a new intern • Interested applicants should contact Mark Ames at mames@ashrae.org
