  1. Learn to Easily Recover a Forgotten AOL Mail Password AOL Mail Password Reset Procedure As with many websites, AOL has moved away from password recovery. Instead, it offers a password reset option as a more secure approach. AOL has developed easy procedures to do so. They are updated occasionally but generally entail similar steps.

  2. Step 1: Go to the AOL Mail Sign in page.

  3. Step2: Enter your AOL username.

  4. Step3: Select Sign in.

  5. Step4: Choose I forgot my password.

  6. Step5: Enter your username. Step6: SelectNext. Step7: Enter the phone number associated with your account, which you entered when you created the account. Step8: Select Next.

  7. Step9: To verify your identity, AOL requires you to enter a verification code. Choose either Yes, text me a verification code or Call me with a verification code. Step 10: Make a note of the verification code you received in the text message or phone call.

  8. Step11: Enter the verification code, then select Verify.

  9. Step12: Enter the new password you'd like to use. SelectSave. Step13: Log in to your AOL Mail account using your new password.
