Photo Activity • A few years ago, I was at a nerd conference in which participants were challenged to imagine we did not have textbooks or other resources, and we had to teach an entire US History course using only three documents. (I know, AWESOME activity, right?) I’ve adapted that exercise for our Vietnam class. What if I had to teach the entire course using only five photographs? I’ve chosen the five, and your job is to answer four simple questions related to each one. Pay close attention to the pictures. They’ll come back as we work our way through the semester.
What can you infer from the photograph? What questions does the photograph raise in your mind? Where might you be able to find answers to your questions? Create a caption for the photograph.
