Conclusion • By combining EL, PL, and C-V measurements, weexplained the low-temperature behavior and electroluminescence collapse to be a result of reduced hole injection as the thermal activation of Mg in AlGaN layers of various compositions is affected. • With careful design of the p-type layers, the hole injection efficiency in the LEDs can be improved across all testing conditions.
