Black swan club scene our inspiration for our club scene in terms of lighting

2. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? For our research we looked at many films in the same category as ours an example of this is the club scene in black swan they used dark lighting to portray the message of fear and mischievous. Because our film is targeted at youths and young people in a negative way it could be argued that our trailer is similar to that that would be seen on channel four like a channel four movie or even episode an example of this is ‘skins’ which is aimed at youths and done by youths showing problems they face very stereotypically.

How does your media product represent particular social groups? • It represents youths just young people it shows them in a wild and almost controversial way is show a female to be vulnerable so it also shows female s to be very vulnerable and confused. The characters we are using are all black and they are represented in a mixture of negative and positive and in a way of pressure and frustration leads you to committing something outrageous.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? • The media institution that would distribute our media product would be film and entertainment and also the internet through social networking sites such as YouTube as it is a very easy and accessible medium to use. As our film is a thriller/drama it could also be shown on channel four as they specialise in distributing these sort of media products on their broadcasting channel.

6. Who would be the audience for your media product? • The audience for our media product is teenagers and young people in their twenties as they could easily relate to this. Although it is a very obvious target audience we didn't choose it because it would be the easiest in getting a focus group we chose it because it is something we saw our self doing to our best ability.

7. How did you attract/address your audience? The things in our product that our target audience would attract to is the use of drugs and knife crime these things draw our target audience because its relevant in their everyday to day life although we are not glamorising these things but it does grasp the attention of our target audience as they are interested and get excited through these things.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? • I have learnt that there are a lot of hazards that i must be aware of when using different equipment as health and safety is a very important aspect of media. • I also developed my editing skilled to another level and am very skilful in final cut pro.
