Fattah Hallah Abdel (Galla Abdel Fattah) The Egyptian Russian artist’s parents had moved to Moscow in 1968 where Galla was born (1970). She studied Psychology of Creativity at the Faculty of Psychology, Moscow State University, Lomonosov. Her father is the documentary artist and cinematographer, Ahmed Abdel-Fattah, and her mother is Dr Nadia Abdel-Malik, a graduate of the Ballet Institute in Cairo. Beginning from 1998 and up to the present time annual exhibitions of Hallah Abdel Fattah’s paintings take place in the Central Artists House in Moscow. Hallah Abdel Fattah’s works are in private collections in Germany, Egypt, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the USA. Inspired by the Egyptian environment and influenced by ancient Egypt’s civilisation, Egyptian-Russian artist Galla Fattah (Hallah Abdel-Fattah) held her “Anthem of the Sun” in Moscow’s M.A. Voloshin Library last December. The library hosted the exhibition in an attempt to alleviate the pain inflicted by the coronavirus lockdown
During the exhibition opening, Fattah was awarded with the gold medal of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia for her contribution to domestic culture
