  1. Nokomis Beach, Nokomis, Florida, United States Nokomis Beach, located in the community of Nokomis on Casey Key, is a sprawling beach known for its soft white sand and coastal vegetation. The beach features the historic Nokomis Beach Pavilion, designed by architect Jack West in 1954, which is one of the oldest beach pavilions in the United States. Nokomis Beach offers a variety of amenities including lifeguards, a boat ramp, canoe launch, picnic areas, playgrounds, concession stands, a fishing pier, restrooms, and volleyball courts. The beach is also accessible to people with disabilities, though dogs are not allowed. Visitors can enjoy numerous activities such as sunbathing, beachcombing, picnicking, wildlife watching, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, surfing, snorkeling, bodyboarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing, skimboarding, surf-skiing, scuba diving, waterskiing, jet-skiing, parasailing, and boating. However, swimmers should be cautious of unpredictable rip currents and considerable water depth. A popular activity at Nokomis Beach is beachcombing for shells and shark teeth. Fishing is also common. The beach is usually quiet, offering a peaceful experience, except on Wednesday and Saturday evenings when the Nokomis Beach Drum Circle performs around sunset, featuring dancers, musicians, and other artists. Nearby attractions include Nokomis Community Park, Venice Museum & Archives, and Patriots Park.
